Benefits of Blue Spaces
A recent survey from the European Centre for Environment and Human Health (ECEHH) at the University of Exeter of 15,000 people across 14 countries found that adults that had spent more time near blue spaces during their childhood had improved mental health during adulthood.
Blue spaces are associated with many recognised health benefits for both mental and physical health including stress reduction, less anxiety, better sleep patterns, healthy immune systems, improved blood pressure rates and circulation.
