Healthy lifestyle and life satisfaction

Healthy lifestyle and life satisfaction

New research published by the Journal of Happiness Studies found that eating fruit and vegetables and exercising can increase levels of happiness and life satisfaction. The research led by the University of Kent and the University of Reading found there is a positive causation from lifestyle to life satisfaction.

The research is the first of its kind to look at the causation of how happiness is related to the consumption of fruit and vegetables and physical exercise rather than generalising a correlation. The researchers filtered out any effect from happiness to lifestyle and found that it is the consumption of fruit and vegetables and exercising that makes us happy and not the other way round.
