Meditation and spiritual wellbeing helps to preserve cognitive function
A recent review published in the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease revealed that practicing meditation and spiritual fitness helps to mitigate the negative effects of stress, reducing the risk of memory loss, cognitive impairment and Alzheimer’s disease. The review included the meditative concept of Kirtan Kriya a type of meditation from the Kundalini yoga tradition that focuses on psychological and spiritual wellbeing. Kirtan Kriya has been practiced for thousands of years and is also known as a singing exercise.
