90% of all strokes avoidable
The latest research published in The Lancet from the Interstroke study reports that 90% of all strokes are preventable through lifestyle changes.
The study of almost 27,000 people from 32 different countries found that 10 factors accounted for 90% of the risk of having a stroke.
The 10 factors are high blood pressure, lack of exercise, poor diet, smoking, too much alcohol, stress, obesity, diabetes, high cholesterol and heart problems.
