Exercising improves learning and memory in young adults

A review of 13 studies found that just a single workout can have immediate and positive effects on the brains of young adults. The review published in Translational Sports Medicine looked at studies that involved cycling, running and walking in individuals aged between 18 and 35 years old. The review found that participating in aerobic exercise for anything from just 2 minutes right up to 1 hour at moderate to high intensity improved concentration, attention, learning and memory function for up to 2 hours.
